Leeds, Wender & Rosenfeld LLP was originally founded in 1971
by Alan Frieman, Ronald Rosenfeld and Gary Zimmerman as the
law firm of Frieman, Rosenfeld & Zimmerman. The firm had a diverse
base of clients who ranged from individuals to business organizations. Over the years the firm has carefully monitored its growth in order to maintain
close relationships with its clients, and to offer its clients
a broad range of legal services which are provided by a talented
group of legal professionals with an uncommon level of depth
and expertise in their practice area of family law.
In 1982 Mr. Frieman passed away. In 1983 Jeffrey F. Gersh, then
an associate of the firm, became a partner and at that time
the name of the firm was changed to Zimmerman, Rosenfeld & Gersh.
In 1990, Craig Leeds became a partner of the firm and in 1996,
the name of the firm was changed to Zimmerman, Rosenfeld, Gersh
& Leeds LLP. Fern Wender, then an associate of the firm, became
a partner in 1997. In 2006 both Gary Zimmerman and Jeffrey F. Gersh left the firm to establish independent practices. However Gary Zimmerman is "of counsel" to the firm.
Our partners and associates pride themselves on taking the time
to thoroughly understand the multitude of issues affecting our
clients' businesses and the legal matters. Although one member
of the firm takes primary responsibility for each client's matter,
we utilize a team approach to enable us to identify strategies
and tactics that will achieve the goals and results desired
by our clients. Part of this approach is implemented by pairing
together members of the firm so that they are familiar with
each other's matters, to ensure that the client's needs are
met and the best possible results under the particular circumstances
are achieved. In addition, all members of the firm meet together
on a regular basis to apprise each other of the status of pending
client matters, to share professional insights, and to discuss
current developments in the law which may affect our clients.
We have consistently demonstrated our ability to achieve practical
results for our clients and we are committed to furthering our
clients' interests by working with them to identify goals, to
develop strategies, and to evaluate existing and potential opportunities.
